The categories of IC chips include memory ICs, logic ICs, operational amplifier ICs, power ICs, interface ICs, protection ICs, analog ICs, driver ICs, touch ICs, RF ICs, voltage-regulating ICs, boost ICs, switch ICs, audio ICs, and clock ICs. An Integrated Circuit Chip (IC chip) is a chip made by placing a large number of microelectronic components—such as transistors, resistors, and capacitors—onto a plastic substrate to form an integrated circuit. IC chips consist of wafer chips and packaged chips. Accordingly, the IC chip production line comprises two main parts: the wafer fabrication line and the packaging line.

An IC chip (Integrated Circuit Chip) is a chip made by placing an integrated circuit—comprising a large number of microelectronic components such as transistors, resistors, and capacitors—onto a plastic substrate. IC chips include wafer chips and packaged chips; accordingly, the IC chip production line consists of two main parts: a wafer fabrication line and a packaging line.

The advantage of making something as an IC is that, for example, in a radio circuit—if you were to build it up component by component using individual transistors along with resistors, capacitors, inductors, and diodes, you could certainly achieve the desired functionality. This approach is known as discrete-component implementation. However, the final physical device would end up being quite large. If, on the other hand, you use IC technology to create an integrated circuit, the result would be a tiny chip no bigger than the tip of your fingernail, complete with just a few external pins ready for use.

Therefore, the applications of ICs are extremely broad—there are all sorts of ICs, and their functions can range from power supplies and voltage regulators to power amplifiers, phase-locked loops, AD/DA converters, CPUs, and DSPs—all of which can be implemented using integrated circuits.

Main uses of IC chips:

1. Operational Use: This function enables users to control the TV’s settings, such as program presets, volume, brightness, contrast, and color saturation.

2. Adjusting the Function: This feature primarily enables the TV to set up and adjust the operating modes of various circuit units. Once you enter the industry mode, you can use the remote control or operation buttons to adjust parameters such as high-gain AGC, secondary brightness, secondary contrast, secondary volume, field amplitude, field linearity, field center, horizontal amplitude, keystone correction, and white balance.

3. The detection function allows the CPU to scan and detect the connected ICs via the IC bus, and display any faulty ICs on the screen.

4. Automated adjustment of usage—also known as the data auto-recovery feature—is essential when replacing storage devices.
